About
Hi dear ones, I'm Karla.
I am a certified life and wellness coach through the Canada Coach Academy, but more importantly, I am a mom of three who has been where you are.
I want to work with you because I know how hard this is. I’ve been in the deep dark places and felt so alone. After my first baby was born, I spent way too long suffering in isolation, fearing that I was wrong or different for having hard feelings. Once I found my way out, through coaching, peer mom support, and healing myself, I knew I had to light the way for others. I want to be there to help you feel better and to become comfortable taking care of yourself – the most important person you will ever care for!
My mission is to help others overcome their challenges and reach their full potential.
I was born and raised in Mexico. My parents are dentists who run their own practice and I followed in those footsteps, going through dental school right after secondary school. I was happy to continue the legacy until it became too stressful to live under familial expectations and I felt my relationship with my parents needed protecting. So I went to Canada. I met my husband, also a transplant from Greece. We had dentistry and being outsiders in common and we fell in love. And then we started having babies. That’s when I started to struggle with my identity and mental health. Once I found support in my group for anxious and depressed moms, everything started to shift. I felt seen and heard. I learned ways to understand my feelings and work with them, instead of against them. I started practicing taking care of myself and encouraging others to do the same. I decided to become certified as a coach and spent almost a full year in training and mentorships through the Canada Coach Academy. I’m also a member of the International Coaching Federation because I believe in coaching so wholeheartedly! During the pandemic, we moved our family to Greece. It was the best experience of my life because the community in my husband’s family’s small village lifted me and taught me how important support really is. They brought us meals, watched my kids, and checked on me regularly. I want to be that village for you and help you find one in your every day life! We can bloom together!
