Hi, I am Karla
I know what loneliness feels like. I’ve been there. After my first baby was born, I felt so isolated. I thought I was supposed to be happy and cheerful and excited like the moms on Instagram and the ones I saw at the park, laughing and chatting.
But I didn’t feel that way. And seeing all the joy in others made me feel even more guilty and sad.
The first time I felt like I was in the right place was when I joined a group for anxious and depressed moms. Finally, people got me! I didn’t have to pretend, I didn’t have to fake my feelings, I got to be real. I could talk about anything – hard, sad, mean, ugly. And other moms could relate to me. Having that changed everything.
And that’s where I learned how critical it is to be heard and understood by others. That’s where I found my voice and realized I didn’t want anyone else to go through this alone.
That’s why I became a Self-Care Coach. Because what I know to be true is this:
If you can learn to listen to your body and take care of yourself, you can be happy, joyful, and free; the best kind of mom/woman/partner there is!
